Robbie's of Islamorada
10+ years on the digital backbone for one of the Keys' most-photographed marinas. Built the FareHarbor affiliate network that doubled party-boat bookings in year one.
The Challenge
Robbie’s of Islamorada is a Keys institution — party boat, private charter fleet, tarpon feeding, kayak and paddleboard rentals, restaurant, dock store. A property with that many revenue lines needs a website that earns for every one of them, not just looks pretty.
10+ years ago, Robbie’s gave me a shot at rebuilding the whole thing.
The Build
WordPress was the right call for the brief: a content layer the staff could keep up with on their own, with custom integrations under the hood for ticketing, schedules, and a constantly moving event calendar.
The bigger move was the FareHarbor side — an affiliate network connecting every private charter operating off Robbie’s docks into one booking pipeline. One inquiry routed to the right captain. One source of truth. Every operator getting their share of the traffic the marina pulls in.
The Result
Party-boat bookings doubled in year one. The affiliate network became the main artery for charter inquiries at the marina — not a side feature. A decade later, the site is still running and still doing the job.
