AI crawlers change their mind.
You'd never know.

One plugin update, one hosting migration, one WAF rule — and ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, or Gemini stops reading your site. The Monitor scans every week and emails you the moment access or scores change.

Four engines, every week

ChatGPT

OpenAI · GPTBot · OAI-SearchBot · ChatGPT-User

Training crawl, search indexing, and live fetch when 800M weekly users ask questions. Blocked here means invisible in the world's biggest answer engine.

Perplexity

Perplexity AI · PerplexityBot · Perplexity-User

The citation engine. PerplexityBot decides whether your pages can be quoted with a link — the highest-intent AI referral traffic there is.

Claude

Anthropic · ClaudeBot

Claude's web search and research features pull live sources. ClaudeBot access decides whether your content is among them.

Gemini & AI Overviews

Google · Google-Extended

The opt-out switch for Gemini training — plus the classic Googlebot signals that feed AI Overviews on the search results page itself.

Beyond access: is your page worth citing?

Access is only half the score. Every scan also measures 12 answer-engine-readiness signals — FAQ/HowTo schema, question-shaped headings, definition-style openers, entity grounding, passage chunking — the things that decide whether an AI engine lifts your passage or your competitor's.

Questions

What does the AI Visibility Monitor actually check?+

Every week it fetches your robots.txt, llms.txt, sitemap.xml, and homepage HTML — the same way the free AI Visibility Audit does — and scores crawler access for GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, PerplexityBot, ClaudeBot, and Google-Extended, plus 12 answer-engine-readiness signals covering schema, page shape, and prose quality.

When do I get alerted?+

Two triggers: an AI crawler flips between allowed and blocked in your robots.txt, or your overall score moves by 5 or more points. If nothing changed, you hear nothing — no noise, no weekly filler report.

Why would my AI crawler access change without me knowing?+

Plugin updates, hosting migrations, CDN/WAF rule changes, and well-meaning developers routinely rewrite robots.txt. Cloudflare and several managed WordPress hosts have shipped updates that silently blocked AI bots. The monitor catches it the same week it happens instead of the quarter your traffic dips.

How is this different from the free AI Visibility Audit?+

The free audit is a one-time snapshot you run yourself. The Monitor runs it every week automatically, keeps your score history, and emails you the moment something changes. Same engine, continuous coverage.

Do I need WordPress?+

No. The Monitor works on any website — WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, hand-rolled, anything with a public URL. (If you are on WordPress, the AEO Citability Score plugin fixes many of the issues the Monitor finds from inside wp-admin.)

How do I sign in?+

No passwords. Enter the email you subscribed with on this page and we'll email you a sign-in link. It expires in 15 minutes and works once.

Can I cancel anytime?+

Yes — it's a monthly Stripe subscription, cancel from any receipt email or by replying to any alert. Your history stays visible until the end of the paid period.
